James Carter

​

​James Carter is an Associate Attorney at The Zegans Law Group, where he focuses on commercial and residential real estate transactions. His practice includes the negotiation and drafting of purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and transactional documents for a wide range of property types, including condominiums, cooperatives, and mixed-use buildings. James regularly conducts in-depth due diligence on behalf of purchasers and sellers including the review of title reports, offering plans, board minutes, financial statements, and regulatory compliance. He also assists in advising clients on leasing matters, including retail and residential leases, subleases, and lease amendments.

 

With a strong foundation in transactional law and a detail-oriented approach, James helps clients navigate complex closings and mitigate risk throughout the life cycle of a deal.
